Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using uksalarytakehome.co.uk (“the Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Site.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
The Site provides a free UK salary calculator tool and educational content about UK tax, National Insurance, pensions, student loans, and related financial topics for the 2026/27 tax year. All calculations are performed entirely within your web browser.
We also offer optional user accounts (via Google Sign-In) that allow you to save calculations and access premium tools.
We also publish blog articles, a glossary, and frequently asked questions to help UK workers understand their pay and tax obligations.
3. User Accounts
You may create a free account by signing in with your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behaviour.
4. Premium Access
Premium access is available for a one-time payment of £1.99, which grants lifetime access to all premium features. There are no recurring charges or subscriptions.
Premium features include: ad-free experience, Pay Rise Simulator, Job Offer Comparison, Salary Progress Tracker, Full Mortgage Breakdown, Pension Impact Estimator, Salary Comparison Tool, PDF Export, and Financial Dashboard.
Refund policy: Due to the nature of digital products and the immediate delivery of access, all sales are final and non-refundable, unless required by applicable consumer law. If you experience a technical issue preventing access to premium features, please contact us and we will resolve it.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. By purchasing Premium, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
5. No Financial Advice
This website provides information for educational purposes only. It does not constitute official tax or financial advice. Always consult with a qualified accountant or HMRC regarding your specific tax affairs.
The information on this Site is for general informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute financial, tax, legal, or professional advice.
The calculator results are estimates based on publicly available HMRC rates, thresholds, and rules. They should not be used as the sole basis for financial decisions. Individual circumstances — including non-standard tax codes, benefits in kind, multiple income sources, and self-employment — can significantly affect actual tax liability.
We strongly recommend consulting a qualified accountant, tax adviser, or financial planner for advice specific to your situation.
6. Accuracy of Information
We make every effort to ensure that the information on this Site is accurate and up to date. Our calculator uses the confirmed HMRC rates for the 2026/27 tax year, and we update it promptly when HMRC announces changes.
However, we do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content. Tax rules are subject to change by government legislation, and there may be a delay between an announcement and our update. You should always verify important figures against official HMRC guidance.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of uksalarytakehome.co.uk shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of, or inability to use, the Site or calculator
- Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the calculator results or content
- Any decisions made or actions taken based on information provided on the Site
- Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Site's availability
This limitation applies whether the damages arise from contract, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Intellectual Property
